t’s been nearly a week since a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman for the death of Trayvon Martin. Following the verdict, Attorney General Eric Holder repeated his pledge to continue a federal investigation into the 17-year-old’s death. He also sharply criticized Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” self-defense law. Pierre Thomas of ABC News will report on the aftermath of the Zimmerman not-guilty verdict.
t the White House today, President Obama forged ahead in promoting parts of his signature health care legislation set to go into effect this October. At the same time congressional Republicans continued their push to repeal the law or at least delay or dismantle it. What’s going on?
