Just days after President Obama acknowledged military setbacks in Iraq, the administration announced it will deploy 450 American military personnel to the region to support a battered Iraqi army.   The U.S. training mission is intended to help Iraqi forces devise a counterattack strategy against the Islamic State extremists who have seized control of Anbar province.  Nancy Youssef of The Daily Beast will explain why Republicans and some Democrats are skeptical and concerned that sending additional non-combat reinforcements will lead to “mission creep.”
