President Obama’s executive action to overhaul of the nation’s immigration enforcement system will allow as many as five million undocumented immigrants to stay in the country without threat of deportation. The plan will also expand the current “Dreamers” program that protects immigrants who came to the U.S. illegally as children, but the new policy will not shield the parents of those Dreamers.
