TRAPPED goes to the front lines of the controversial battle currently being waged over so-called TRAP laws — Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers — which reproductive rights advocates believe are designed to restrict access to abortion. Told through the eyes of doctors, clinic owners, and staff in Alabama and Texas who are fighting to keep their facilities open, the film reveals the impact of the hundreds of new laws passed since 2011 that set additional standards and regulations for abortion providers. Compliance often requires costly facility modifications or staffing requirements and has resulted in the closure of many clinics.

The investigation into the Orlando massacre has revealed that the gunman not only pledged allegiance to ISIS before the shooting but that he paused to post chilling messages on social media during his deadly rampage. Authorities are trying to determine what role gunman Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salmon, played in the attack and whether she will face criminal charges.

President Obama spoke out about the threat of lone wolf terrorists earlier in the week and criticized Donald Trump for his renewed calls to ban Muslims from entering the country. Hillary Clinton blasted the presumptive Republican nominee for insinuating that the president secretly supported Islamic State terrorists and called his rhetoric “dangerous” and “un-American.”

The Democratic frontrunner called Trump “temperamentally unfit” to serve and declared his foreign policy platform “dangerously incoherent” during a speech to supporters in San Diego, California on Thursday.

Trump unleashed a barrage of attacks on the former secretary of state calling her “crooked” and insisting she “should not be allowed to run” because of her decision to use a private email server when she was at the State Department.
