A work that combines documentary, autobiography, and ethical inquiry, Cameraperson is a thoughtful examination of what it means to train a camera on the world. THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW

SEASON 1 – EPISODE 1 – CAKE

Follow 12 amateur bakers as they enter the competition tent for their first hurdle: cake. The Signature Bake requires a Swiss roll, a seemingly simple task fraught with risks. For the Technical Bake, bakers must duplicate Mary Berry’s classic cherry cake, to Berry’s exacting standard. In the Showstopper Bake, the competitors tackle classic British cakes — in perfect miniature — 36 of them.

A bipartisan proposal drafted by Sens. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., and Patty Murray, D-Wash., would restore health insurance subsidies and provide short-term fixes to the insurance marketplaces.   The approximately $9 billion per year would help pay the out-of-pocket costs for millions of low-income Americans covered by the Affordable Care Act exchanges.  President Trump‘s support for the bill has wavered throughout the week as the White House and many Republicans in Congress remain committed to repealing and replacing Obamacare.
