WASHINGTON WEEK

As the self-imposed deadline to pass tax legislation draws closer, the bill cleared another hurdle on Wednesday evening after all fifty-two Senate Republicans voted in favor of debating it.  Mitch McConnell hopes the Senate will approve the measure by Friday, but GOP senators still need to overcome internal division on a host of issues, including corporate pass-through income and tax cuts, property tax deductions, the individual health care mandate, child tax credit, and the projected deficit.
