The cloak-and-dagger life revives when a dodgy British philanthropist named Stirling Rogers (Rupert Graves) arrives with an associate, Margot (Helena Bonham Carter), whom Johnny knows well. Johnny’s new mission is to escape from an ever-tightening noose.

President Obama and Republican lawmakers have both pledged to work together to end the political gridlock that has left many Americans frustrated. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), the soon-to-be majority leader, has vowed to make the Senate more effective and functional to pass legislation. President Obama said he was eager to work with the new Congress and plans to meet with congressional leaders at the White House on Friday to discuss issues where there may be room for compromise.

But immigration reform remains a divisive issue that could dim hopes of a new bipartisan spirit in Washington. On Wednesday the president reiterated his promise to take executive action if lawmakers fail to pass a comprehensive bill. Republicans warn that taking unilateral action would “poison the well” and stall any chance for immigration reform to move through Congress.

A Salute to the Troops: In Performance at the White House” is a PBS music special from the South Lawn of the White House. President and Mrs. Obama will host the event on Thursday, November 6, 2014 in advance of Veterans Day and as part of The White House “Joining Forces” initiative, with an all-star tribute to the men and women who serve theUnited States. The concert, which will have a live audience that will include hundreds of members of the military, will feature performances by Mary J. Blige, Common, John Fogerty, Willie Nelson, Romeo Santos, and also active duty military members U.S. Army SGT. Christiana R. Ball, U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Matt Smith and Capt. John Ed Auer. Don Was will be the music director. The production is also working with the USO, for a performance by Daughtry via satellite of their USO concert at Yokota Air Base inJapan, as well as a live-viewing audience of troops from the USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir in Virginia— both to be included in the White House concert and the broadcast. A SLOTH NAMED VELCRO

In 2000 in the jungles of Panama, a young journalist, named Ana, has a chance encounter with a tiny orphaned sloth, which she names Velcro. For nearly two years, the pair is inseparable until finally Ana travels up a remote river to reintroduce Velcro back to the wild. This is the story Ana’s return to Central and South America to see how much has changed since Velcro came into her life. Sloths, once largely ignored, have become a hot topic of scientific researchers. New studies are showing that they’re not so sloth-like after all, that they have social structures, they move like primates, and that males keep small harems. Sloth sanctuaries and rehabilitation centers are also springing up throughout the Americas as development displaces these gentle creatures.

BIGGER THAN T.REX

Almost a century ago, paleontologists found the first tantalizing hints of a monster even bigger than Tyrannosaurus rex, perhaps the largest predator ever to roam the Earth: spectacular fossil bones from a dinosaur dubbed Spinosaurus. But the fossils were completely destroyed during a World War II Allied bombing raid, leaving only drawings, questions, and a mystery: What was Spinosaurus? Now, the discovery of new bones in a Moroccan cliff face is reopening the investigation into this epic beast.
