When the case takes a devastating turn, Wallander must delve deeper into cold war politics and, in doing so, uncovers delicate, fractured relationships within the Von Enke family. With time running out, and his own memory working against him, Wallander must prevail against the odds if he is to safeguard his daughter’s future.

However, the team still tries to accommodate additional rescued animals arriving daily.
